Satish Kumar serves as the Senior Manager – Research & Development, providing strategic leadership in advancing the University's research, innovation, and academic excellence agenda. He works closely with the University leadership, faculty, researchers, industry, and government agencies to strengthen research quality, foster innovation, and build a sustainable ecosystem that supports impactful knowledge creation.
He is responsible for driving institutional initiatives aligned with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), NAAC accreditation, NIRF rankings, research governance, and national and international benchmarking. His role encompasses research policy implementation, faculty research development, publication quality enhancement, patent facilitation, sponsored research, innovation management, technology transfer, startup incubation, and industry–academia collaboration.
With a strong focus on creating a research-oriented institutional culture, he leads initiatives that encourage interdisciplinary research, high-impact publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals, intellectual property generation, externally funded projects, innovation-driven entrepreneurship, and meaningful societal engagement. He is committed to transforming research outcomes into practical solutions that contribute to national development and global knowledge.
His expertise includes Research Strategy, Institutional Research Management, Innovation Ecosystem Development, Intellectual Property Management, Research Analytics, Academic Quality Assurance, Technology Commercialization, Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, Product Innovation, and Strategic Partnerships.
