Re-NEET Toppers List 2026 Out: Aryan Gupta and Panshul Bansal Share AIR 1 with 715 Marks

The Re-NEET Toppers List 2026 is out. The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the Re-NEET UG 2026 result on 16 July 2026. Aryan Gupta from Punjab and Panshul Bansal from Haryana jointly secured All India Rank 1 with 715 marks out of 720, and 11.21 lakh candidates qualified out of the nearly 20 lakh who sat the re-examination on 21 June 2026.

Who Are the Re-NEET 2026 Toppers?

Six candidates sit at the top of the Re-NEET 2026 merit list, drawn from five states. Kudale Shravani Krishna of Maharashtra, at AIR 5, is the highest ranked female candidate.

They show an unusually young, largely first-attempt cohort at the top of the merit list, drawn from a wide geographic spread.

Two of those figures deserve a second look. Over 93 per cent of the top 138 were sitting NEET for the first time, and 99 per cent of top rankers were aged 17 to 19. Long repeat cycles are not what produces top ranks. Consistent school-stage preparation is. Women also outperformed men on every measure the NTA published.

Which States Do the Re-NEET 2026 Toppers Come From?

Candidates above 705 marks came from eight states: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Telangana. Telangana appearing on that list matters for students around Hyderabad, who are competing at the very top of the national list.

It falls away steeply at the top. Fewer than 20 candidates crossed 700, but more than 90,000 crossed 500.

What Is the Re-NEET 2026 Cut Off?

The NTA released the qualifying cut off with the result. General and EWS is 715 to 213 marks at the 50th percentile. OBC, SC and ST is 212 to 177 marks at the 40th percentile. The percentiles never change from year to year, but the equivalent marks move with paper difficulty, and this year they rose.

Do not confuse the two cut offs. The qualifying cut off is the minimum needed to enter counselling. The admission cut off is the closing rank at which a given college actually fills its seats, and it is far higher. Clearing 213 marks makes you eligible for counselling. It does not get you a seat.

How Do You Download the Re-NEET Toppers List 2026 PDF and Scorecard?

Both are on the official NTA website. The topper list needs no login. The scorecard does.

1. Go to neet.nta.nic.in. 
2. For the topper list, open the topper list PDF link directly. It carries the All India Rank holders, the top 100, state and category-wise toppers, gender statistics, cut off marks and the overall result analysis.
3. For your scorecard, open the result link, enter your application number, date of birth and security pin, then submit.
4. Download the PDF, print two copies for counselling and save a copy to cloud storage. The download window does not stay open indefinitely, and you will need the file at every counselling stage.

Why Was NEET UG 2026 Re-Conducted?

The original NEET UG 2026 examination was cancelled following a paper leak, and the examination was re-conducted on 21 June 2026. Reporting on the leak and the investigation is ongoing.

The practical consequences for candidates are contained. The 2026 merit list and cut off are calculated on the re-examination cohort, the qualifying percentiles are unchanged, and the NTA has confirmed results were declared in time for counselling and medical college admissions.

What Happens After the Re-NEET 2026 Result?

Counselling begins. Qualifying makes you eligible to register, and there are two routes depending on the quota you are targeting.

Use only official portals: neet.nta.nic.in for the result, mcc.nic.in for All India Quota, and your state authority for state quota. Unofficial sites regularly carry wrong dates.

How Many MBBS Seats Are There for 11.21 Lakh Qualified Candidates?

India has roughly 1.3 lakh MBBS seats across around 820 medical colleges, of which about 63,000 sit in government colleges. Against 11.21 lakh qualified candidates, that is roughly eight qualified candidates for every MBBS seat, and around seventeen for every government seat.

Read that honestly. Close to 10 lakh students who qualified Re-NEET 2026 will not study MBBS this year. That is not failure. It is arithmetic, and it has been true every year for a decade.

The mistake is not missing an MBBS seat. The mistake is treating MBBS as the only door into medicine, dropping a year to repeat NEET, then dropping another, and arriving at 21 with no degree and no clinical experience. A repeat year is a rational choice for a candidate at 640 who is 20 marks short of a government seat. It is an expensive one for a candidate at 380.

What Are the Career Options After Re-NEET 2026 Besides MBBS?

Healthcare is much larger than the MBBS degree. Hospitals run on teams, and most of that team does not hold an MBBS. The allied and healthcare sciences are regulated professions with degree pathways, clinical training and real staffing shortages in India.

The last two rows are the important ones. BDS, AYUSH and veterinary seats are allotted from the same merit list, so register for counselling regardless. Allied health and physiotherapy sit outside that queue entirely and lead into the same hospitals, the same theatres and the same patients.

Master’s routes sit above most of these, along with doctoral programmes in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

One point most admissions copy misses. A cardiac perfusionist runs the heart-lung machine while a surgeon operates on a stopped heart. A radiographer produces the image the diagnosis rests on. These are not fallback jobs. They are specialist clinical roles carrying real responsibility, and India does not have enough of them.

Can your Re-NEET 2026 percentile earn you a scholarship at MNR University?

Figures are annual tuition. The scholarship applies to tuition only, and optometry is excluded from the allied health matrix. You can also be assessed on Class 12 marks, board CGPA, state CET rank, CUET percentile, SAT score or diploma average, whichever route gives you the better award, so a weak NEET percentile does not cap what you can claim.

An Example

A candidate at the 72nd percentile has qualified Re-NEET 2026 but is nowhere near an MBBS seat. That percentile puts them in the top band of the table above, on B.Sc Cardiac and Perfusion Technology. Four years later they are in a cardiac theatre.

What does the MNR campus offer a healthcare student?
