The results are out. The marksheet says BiPC, and the NEET score has not landed where the family had hoped. For many students in Telangana, this moment feels like a closed door. It is not.<\/p>\n

A hospital does not run on doctors alone. Behind every blood report, CT scan, heart surgery and eye test stands a trained technologist. These people are allied health professionals, and India is short of about 6.2 million of them, according to Sattva Consulting.<\/p>\n

Allied health courses after 12th are four- to five-year degrees in fields such as medical laboratory science, radiology and imaging, anaesthesia and operation theatre technology, cardiovascular technology, optometry and physiotherapy. Most of them do not ask for NEET. Students from BiPC, and for several courses MPC, can apply.<\/p>\n

So, which are the best allied health colleges in Hyderabad<\/a>? Parents usually check three things: how many courses a college runs, whether students get to a real hospital, and what the fees come to. MNR University in Sangareddy, Greater Hyderabad, offers 14 undergraduate allied health programmes, charges \u20b91.5 lakh a year for most of them, and gives merit scholarships of up to 40%. The sections below cover the courses, costs, salaries and a side-by-side view of other colleges in the city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Allied health courses after 12th include Medical Laboratory Science, Radiology and Imaging Technology, Anaesthesia and OT Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, Optometry and Physiotherapy (BPT). They run for four to five years, need 10+2 (usually BiPC), mostly do not need NEET, and lead to starting pay of about \u20b92.5 lakh to \u20b95 lakh a year.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

\u00a0What Are Allied Health Courses, and Who Can Study Them?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Allied health courses train students to support doctors in diagnosis, treatment and recovery. The National Commission for Allied and Healthcare Professions (NCAHP) Act, 2021 gives the legal meaning: an associate, technician or technologist trained to carry out the technical work behind diagnosis and treatment. A qualification under the Act must carry at least 2,000 hours of study spread over two to four years.<\/p>\n

The Act recognises 56 professions under 10 categories. The old word “paramedical” is being retired from official use in favour of “allied and healthcare”. In April 2025, the Union health ministry released new syllabi for 10 of these professions, compulsory from 2026. For a student joining in 2027, the degree will follow one national standard rather than a college-made one.<\/p>\n
